Systems Engineers

Dac Systems have the skills to manage the entire Systems Development Life Cycle. We start out by analysing the customer's needs and by generating all the necessary functional and technical design documentation to assist the team in successful system development, quality assurance and delivery. The documentation that is produced includes the following:

  • Vision scope: What is expected from the system?
  • Project structure: Defines how the team will function to ensure optimal performance and quality
  • Project plan: The schedule, resources and budget for the project
  • Functional design: Defines the functionality in detail, including all usage scenarios
  • Physical design: Defines the technical design of the system, including all components, databases and interfaces
  • ATP: Defines all testing to be done on the system and is used as the final sign-off document by the client

We make use of internationally accepted design tools, including UML, to ensure that the design documentation will be understood by a wider audience.

A very important component of system development at Dac Systems is quality assurance which is achieved through the following:

  • Peer review on design documentation and code
  • Development of unit tests to automate the testing of code
  • Testing by the developer before delivery to the tester
  • Testing by a testing specialist
  • User acceptance testing by the client before sign-off
